These simple Barbecue Turkey Salad Wraps are absolutely delicious, perfect for a quick lunch or a picnic supper with your family. The natural smokiness of freshly roasted turkey pairs excellently with picnic condiments like barbecue sauce and yellow mustard, so why not combine several of your favorite flavors into one delicious package? Another good thing about cold salads is that they are totally customizable, you can add any fresh veggie or sauce to this salad that you want! I wouldn’t want you to feel confined to the limits of this recipe, branch out and discover your own favorite flavors! Barbecue Turkey Salad: 2 cups cooked turkey (white and dark meat), 1/2 cup bread and butter pickles, 1/4 cup minced celery, 1/3 cup barbecue sauce, 2 tbsp. yellow mustard, 1/3 cup reduced fat mayonnaise, 1-2 tbsp. Southwestern ranch dressing (or 1/2 tsp. Sriracha).
Finely shred the turkey by hand into a medium mixing bowl. Chop the pickles to desired size and add them to the bowl. Add the celery and sauces. Stir together with a rubber spatula until well combined. Refrigerate the turkey salad until you are ready to eat it.
The Wraps: 1 package whole wheat tortillas, 1/2 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese.
Spread 1 tsp. of mayonnaise or dressing right down the middle of one tortilla. Add a couple of spoonfuls of turkey salad, forming it into a straight line right down the center of the tortilla. Top with grated cheese. Tightly roll the tortilla into a log. Tuck in the ends. Repeat as needed.;)
